W.M (Bill) Sutherland, who played an active role for the Association, in getting many SSR veterans specifically back to Groningen, Holland, for the Millennium Program. Groningen was the last City in Holland that the Regiment helped to liberate, before it returned to Germany to fight until the end of the war.

John (Jack) K. Kemp, as a Captain, commanded "B" Company in the battle for Falaise, in Normandy. He was severely wounded in the head, by a sniper at Falaise. In civilian life, after the war, Jack worked for many years for the School Board in Lloydminster, AB. He served as Secretary Treasurer for many years and as a Director. In recognition of his dedicated service a new Elementary has been built and named in his honour in Lloydminster.

Tony Pearson was in a Rifle Company and in addition to fighting in other battles, he took part in the liberation of Groningen. Tony is now in Real Estate Sales, in Nanaimo, BC.
