"We were sleeping in an old building, so I got up and went to the street. An old Frenchman with tri-pod and camera took my photo - developed and printed a copy right on the spot!! I still have the original."

"2-Franc invasion money" - "I had two copies saved after all these years. This one I kept in a book and when I removed it last week I was a bit careless and a couple of spots - blood stains - broke free. I also had a Ten Guilder note when I got wounded 13-12-44, but it is in the Groesbeek Museum, also with my blood stains."
