I bought 'Their Names Live On" by Doug Chisholm for my mother for Christmas. Her brother died at Normandie in July, 1944. I was wondering if you could put me on to someone who could possibly remember him. His name was William D. Pritchard, L 12772 and is on your Honour Roll. I was wondering if anyone would remember him and therefore, tell me some information about him. I know he landed in England Dec. 25, 1940 . He was a scout, was wounded at Dieppe, killed just outside of Caen, and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian Cemetery. My Mom, Uncle, and I visited there earlier this year and I will never forget the emotions it raised. I have always had a lot of respect and interest in WW2 , but this visit really changed me. I have just received his service records from the National Archives of Canada, so that has helped also. A personal contact with someone who knew him would be very special. My name is June Bates, I live in Grand Coulee, Sk. just 10 miles west of Regina. My email is above and I would very much like to hear from you and/or anyone knowing anything about my uncle. Thank you so much, June.

It would be just fine if you would show my note to the former SSR officers. Maybe someone will remember him. He was a very quiet man, so probably didn't bring too much attention to himself. Thank you so much. I appreciate it and so will Mom when I tell her.
